National Organizations & Companies

The following entities are actively working to diversify the game of golf on the course, are businesses owned by women or people of color, or are companies that assist with making golf more accessible to people with disabilities. Consider inviting members of the Black organizations, or those with disabilities, to play at your course; as Tiffany Fitzgerald, Founder & CEO of Black Girls Golf says, "No one goes to a party uninvited."

National Organizations

  • African American Golfer's Digest: The African American Golfer’s Digest is a PGA of America Diverse Supplier and the nation’s leading print publication and online portal for avid Black American golfers.
  • All Access Golf: With a mission to increase the visibility, relatability, and accessibility for minorities in golf, AAG hosts golf clinics and annual events such as 'Blacks In Golf'. They are currently working on an oral history project called Golf Griot
  • Black Girls Golf: The organization was developed to create opportunities to build better professional relationships and connect with people in positions of power and influence. It's a global network of like-minded women who want to learn, practice, and play golf, and currently has more than 4,000 members in the U.S and abroad.
  • Black Golf Alliance: Growing the game of golf in the black community through love, unity, and respect for each other and the game itself.
  • Black Golf Clubs: A list all of the African-American golf organizations in the country, where interested players can find a club or organization near their home.
  • Black Sororities and Fraternities: These elite groups of educated Black women and men pursue activism, scholarship, social uplift and service.
  • Golf Women Mean Business: The organization helps women leaders build meaningful relationships and achieve greater influence with "Business First and Golf Second."
  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): According to the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), there are 101 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) located in 19 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Latina Golfers Association: The association's goal is to make golf accessible to women by conducting affordable golf clinics and lessons for newbies and beginner/intermediate players. It empowers women by teaching them how to utilize golf as a business tool in order to enhance their careers and personal lives.
  • Mexican American Golf Association: The association was established to facilitate the benefits of recreational and competitive golf, as well as, cultural identity and camaraderie among Mexican Americans.
  • Minority Golf Association of America: The organization is a 501(c)(3) and is a recognized authority in conducting junior golf training clinics and empowerment program for boys and girls 8 to 17 years of age. MGAA introduces young people from challenging circumstances to the sport of golf and its attributes. The MGAA applies the sport of golf as an educational, training, and personal development tool to help both the disadvantaged and the general population to bridge the gap between themselves and current day society.
  • National Black Chamber of Commerce: 28 Years Of Diversity & Inclusion: Economic Empowerment Through Entrepreneurial Pursuits. The National Black Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to economically empowering and sustaining African American communities through entrepreneurship and capitalistic activity within the United States and via interaction with the Black Diaspora.
  • National Black Golf Hall of Fame: The National Black Golf Hall of Fame celebrates and honors exemplary achievements of Blacks in the golf industry. The organization also recognizes business and community leaders, regardless of race or ethnicity, who ensure Blacks are presented opportunities to participate in any facet of golf.
  • National Negro Golf Association: The organization's mission focuses on the enjoyment of its members, and NNGA recognizes the need to play a role in its communities, including raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the United Negro College Fund through sponsorship of celebrity golf tournaments in chapter cities. The NNGA also supports the National Minority Junior Golf Scholarship Fund.
  • PGA of America Inclusion & Diversity: Growing the game is an essential part of the mission of the PGA of America. An important part of this effort is making sure that people of all backgrounds have access to and feel authentically welcome in the game and business of golf.
  • Sisters Across America: The organization's mission is to financially support and mentor young minority women aspiring to play on the LPGA Tour, for whom the realization of that dream might not be possible without the much needed financial and mentoring support. Its membership consists of golfers and non-golfers who are bound by the passion for our mission.
  • United Black Golfers Association: The association provide opportunities for members to meet and engage with other like-minded individuals and associations through the game of golf, and have an opportunity to show their good will and support through fundraising endeavors. 
  • We Are Golf Minority OrganizationsThe World Golf Foundation has compiled a list of suppliers to the golf industry, competitive golf events, recreational golf programs and entities offering careers in golf that support diversity in the golf industry. This list intends to create a resource that informs interested individuals of these programs.
  • Women of Color Golf: Women of Color Golf & Girls On the Green Tee are not-for profit 501(c)(3) organizations located in Tampa, FL. The mission is to increase diversity and inclusion in the sport of golf for women and girls through instruction, on-course play, mentoring, networking, special events, health and career-related opportunities.
