Charleston, S.C. (March 4, 2026) — The National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA) is pleased to announce that Sir Nick Faldo, unquestionably the most successful European golfer in history, will appear as a special guest during Multi-Course & Resort Operators Retreat 2026 (MCOR26).
On the afternoon of Wednesday, June 10 in Monterey, California, Sir Nick will sit down with NGCOA CEO Jay Karen for a fireside chat and candid conversation covering Sir Nick’s unforgettable golf career, his current passions and aspirations, his take on course design and development, and the future of the golf industry. Sir Nick will also take questions from the MCOR26 audience to wrap up the event.
“We’re honored to welcome Sir Nick Faldo to join many of the world’s leading golf course owners and operators,” said Jay Karen. “Few individuals have experienced the game from so many vantage points — as a dominant competitor, Ryder Cup stalwart, course designer, and global broadcaster — and his perspective on golf’s evolution will resonate with leaders shaping its future. Sir Nick’s insight, candor, and lifelong commitment to excellence in the game will make this a truly memorable and meaningful conversation for our attendees.”
Sir Nick Faldo’s illustrious career has secured his place as one of the all-time greats of golf: he holds three Open Championships, three Masters victories, and has represented Europe in the Ryder Cup a record eleven times. Alongside his on-course accomplishments, Sir Nick has also ventured into the world of golf course design boasting a portfolio of more than 40 courses across five continents and in 20 different countries. For more than 18 years, Sir Nick served as a television commentator and lead analyst with CBS.
One of Sir Nick’s most significant contributions to the sport is the creation of a charitable trust, The Faldo Series, aimed at developing tomorrow’s champions. Sir Nick is one of very few PGA Life Members. In 2009, he was awarded a knighthood by Queen Elizabeth II for his services to golf (the only British male golfer in the modern era to receive such an honor).
