Industry Initiatives

To support members of the golf industry during these challenging times, as well as medical professionals and facilities who serve our communities, various golf organizations have created initiatives to provide support and financial assistance for those who work in golf. Below are just a few recent initiatives that have been announced; please contact Taylor Wall at with additional programs.

PGA of America's Golf Emergency Relief Fund

The Golf Emergency Relief Fund provides short-term financial assistance to certain workers in the golf industry that are the backbone of our sport and facing significant financial hardship including those suffering as a result of COVID-19. This relief effort was initiated through a lead, multi-million dollar pledge by the PGA of America. The effort is also being supported in a variety of manners by a number of industry organizations including the GCSAA, PGA TOUR, LPGA, USGA, NGCOA and AGM.

E4E Relief awarded in excess of $4 million to over 3,300 individuals during Phase 1 of the Golf Emergency Relief Fund. Phase 1 is now closed. Click here for information, questions and supplemental documentation required for Phase 2 which opens May 27.

USGA's Relief Fund for Allied Golf Associations

To continue to serve the game of golf at the grassroots level and provide immediate financial support to golf communities in need, the USGA has established an emergency relief fund for its 59 Allied Golf Association members with an investment of up to $5 million. The funding will come in the form of grants to help ensure business continuity and staffing levels during this time of hardship. Individual AGAs may apply for up to $100,000; additional financial assistance will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The application process will begin on Monday, April 13 and continue through the summer as needed. The USGA is committed to providing additional funding should the business disruption be prolonged.
