As 2024 draws to a close, it’s a natural time to reflect on the highlights that have shaped our year. What continues to ring true, amongst all the new programs, services and reach we continue to pursue at the NGCOA, is the unwavering strength of our membership community.

At NGCOA, we’ve always believed that the power of our network lies not just in the sheer number of members, but in the richness of the relationships and resources we offer. Our community is a living, breathing testament to the value of collaboration. It’s this network that continues to be a lifeline for so many of our members, navigating the complexities of running a golf course business.

In 2024, we’ve seen firsthand how this community thrives—whether at our in-person events or through our online member platform, Accelerate.

Our in-person events this year, Golf Business Conference and the Multi-Course and Resort Operators Retreat, allowed members to reconnect with old friends, meet new peers, and dive deep into the discussions that matter most to golf course owners and operators. From educational sessions to networking, these gatherings are more than just events—they are opportunities to share challenges, discover new opportunities, and celebrate the wins, big and small. For many of our members, the chance to step away from the day-to-day pressures of course operations and immerse themselves in a community of like-minded professionals is invaluable.

But the power of community doesn’t just reside in person. Through Accelerate, our members have access to a digital ecosystem that extends far beyond physical events. Everyday golf course owners and operators post questions, share insights, and offer support to one another. Whether you're troubleshooting an issue with your course maintenance or seeking advice on marketing strategies, Accelerate has become an indispensable tool.

As we head into the new year, it’s clear that the connections our members have made—whether face-to-face or online—are the key to sustaining and growing their businesses. No matter what economic changes come our way, these connections provide the insights, support, and encouragement that help us navigate the road ahead.

As we reflect on the year gone by, we celebrate the power of connection, the value of community, and the opportunities that lie ahead. In the coming year, I encourage members to continue to lean on one another, share their successes and setbacks, and build on the relationships that have become the backbone of our association.

Salut!
