Filling fields for a corporate or charity event can sometimes be a challenge, particularly if the person planning the outing knows little about tournament planning. To help boost participation numbers, consider employing the 9-4-4 Rule described by Phil Immordino from the Golf Tournament Association of America.
Start by advising the group holding the event to create a tournament committee with nine members. Then task those nine members to find four people to bring in one foursome each. If each committee members is successful in their efforts, you’ll quickly have a full field of 144 players.
