My husband, Brian, and I have been in the agricultural business for almost 40 years together, and he for over 60. We are farmers of cattle, contract poultry, acres of grasslands, along with a separate business of spreading paper mill waste material on farmland. Then we purchased our local failing 9-hole golf course in 2021. We both have deep roots to Evans Heights Golf Club. A friend and I were the first high school female golf team members in 1980 and Brian began playing about 25 years ago at EHGC. Brian already spent three days per week on the course, so when talk began about a sell falling through, I suggested we make the purchase and here we are two years later. We put 100% of our sales back into the course to make needed repairs, such as fertilizer, irrigation, equipment needs, and remaking the back 9 that the previous owners destroyed. While Brian handles everything on the Course, I handle everything inside. We are a Team! Together, we have made lots of changes, not just to the course, but in many other aspects of a modern golf course. However, we are also learning the trade. NGCOA will be an asset to us! My Bio pic is of Brian presenting me our Ladies Club Championship last year! I think he was more excited about it than I was!
