Join other owners and operators at Talking Stick Golf Club for a great round of golf and some friendly competition. Recently named one of the Top 20 Best Daily Fee Courses in the United States by Golf & Travel magazine, this 36-hole facility is located on and owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and managed by Troon Golf. Talking Stick Golf Club has also been awarded the "Best in the World" ranking of Best Desert Course by The Golfer Magazine.
The North Course, a Scottish links style golf course, features gently rolling terrain, challenging fairway bunkers, expansive fairways and native grasses. The South Course is a traditional American style resort golf course featuring elevated greens, cottonwood and sycamore trees, creeks and lakes.
The cost of the golf outing is $125, which covers green and cart fees, a goody bag, lunch and transportation.
Taliesin West - January 20, 2002
In 1937, Frank Lloyd Wright acquired several hundred acres of desert at the foothills of the McDowell Mountains near Scottsdale, Arizona. Here he and apprentices built Taliesin West as a "desert camp." It was conceived by Wright as a bold new endeavor for desert living - "a look over the rim of the world," in the architect's own words. The designs for Taliesin West reflect Wright's principles, which form the basis for his "organic architecture."
This two-hour behind the scenes tour of Taliesin West will allow you to experience first-hand Wright's brilliant ability to integrate indoor and outdoor spaces. Visit the Cabaret Cinema, Music Pavilion, Seminar Theater, Wright's private office, and the Taliesin West living room - all linked by dramatic terraces, gardens and walkways overlooking the rugged Sonoran desert and Valley below.
The cost of the Taliesin West tour is $40, which includes refreshments and transportation.
Opening Reception - January 20, 2002
