ORLANDO, FLA. - The NGCOA's Annual Conference
- held in conjunction with the Golf Industry Show - concluded here on Saturday
with association CEO Mike Hughes calling both events "unqualified
successes."
"Three years ago, everyone was curious - some
people were even skeptical - about how this marriage was going to work out," he
said, referring to the melding of the NGCOA's, GCSAA's and CMAA's conferences
and trade shows. "But our confidence that it would work - and work well - has
been confirmed."
Hughes said the NGCOA Annual Conference's
educational and networking sessions were "well attended and stimulating" for
attendees. He also noted that moves to integrate the conference further within
the Golf industry Show, including making sure conference registration,
education and networking events were in close proximity to the trade show
floor, "facilitated the interaction between members, their teams and
exhibitors."
